I mostly played werebear druid and barb, and only played offline. This meant keeping nothing but potions, a charm or two and a town portal scroll in my inventory, and this was on top of filling my belt with potions. I never really played a class with self healing and relied on potions to get through the game. I have a hard time playing D2 these days as I don't like how potions work and that they don't stack in your inventory. Modernizing some of the UI elements would be stellar. Updating the game to support higher resolutions would be a great start. If not that, then maybe boots for faster run walk plus other mods, or a halberd or pike for your act 2 merc. I wouldn't bother imbuing class specifics for zon or assassin. pally shield, druid hat, sorc orb, or barb hat is an option. You cannot gamble class specific items, so imbuing a necro shield. If not used on a diadem, you might just use it to give you a boost in normal. So with that info, you might just have fun with all 3 imbues and gamble coronets later on.
#Diablo ii patch 1.14a upgrade#
There is a chance it will upgrade to diadem and a chance it will be rare. To gamble a rare diadem, you need to be at least lvl 65 and then gamble coronet base types.
Since you get 3 imbues per char, I suggest saving your hell imbue for that diadem and just having fun with the other two.Īlso note that it IS possible to gamble a rare diadem. And then when it drops you might as well just reroll that one instead of waiting for another white diadem. The problem is waiting for a white diadem to drop. So people find a white diadem, imbue it, and then reroll it in the cube with 6 perfect skulls (again ilvl is irrelevant on rerolling with the pskull recipe for diadems unlike circlets and coronets) until they get a great roll. A diadem can get any modifier regardless of its ilvl. The primary suggestion is to imbue a white diadem because (unlike circlets and coronets) the ilvl of a diadem is irrelevant.
So what's the best usage of the Horadic Malus in Act I? Just any old white item from the vendor? Its a bit overrated because the odds of obtaining a great roll on a rare are low.
